Technical Difficulties - Day 2

Still having PC Issues so another shot from the past.
This is Chatsworth House. I visited here many times when I lived in England. It was one of my favorite places.
The nearby town of Bakewell is quite famous for the Bakewell Tart, which is a nice jam filled pastry.
It was not a trip to Chatsworth without a stop in Bakewell for a tart.

This is both a trip down memory lane and a stark realisation that most of my photos from 2004 to present may be lost due to the PC crash from Thursday night. I am still working on it so all is not lost.
I re-installed to operating system on the crashed PC, last night and I am hopeful that I will be able to start accessing the image folders later today. I really hate not having a backup of them. I bet you can guess what the first thing I am going to do when I finally recover them... Can anyone suggest a good back up solution that is both easy to use and inexpensive?

Thanks

Very impressive building, nice picture too.

One thing to consider is to save your files offsite in case of fire or flood, let alone PC crash. I've heard good things about online storage at carbonite.com. A co-worker uses it and I am going to sign up myself. There are undoubtedly other online storage options too, try a google search. Good luck retrieving your files.

I can understand why this was one of your favorite places — it's gorgeous!

I just have an external drive to back-up all my files. Since I use a Mac, back-up's easy and can be automated with Time Machine, the software the OS comes with. I figure I don't need more than that. I just pray that the two do not decide to crash — if ever — at the same time.
