Mount Tenabo

Mount Tenabo near Crescent Valley.
This Mountain is the site of a long battle between the Barrick Gold Corporation (Cortez Hills Project) and local Native American Tribes.
Barrick Gold want to dig an open pit gold mine while the Te-Moak and Western Shoshone tribes claim the mountain is sacred land.
This is a battle between a multi-national gold mining corporation and a couple of small Indian Tribes: 3 guesses on who will will win...

Night Train

OK... Back to business.
I took a few unplanned days off due to some cold weather related disasters around my little EDP world. Things should be back to relative normality now.
Thanks for sticking with me.
Today is another train shot from Beowawe. I like trains, but I think I have been using too many recently. I hope to be able to get out and do some more shooting in the next few days to get some of the nice snowy scenes around town. Maybe capture some of the expected new snow.

Just to give you an idea of how big these trucks are; in the lower right corner is a 15 passenger Ford Van.

I Hate Spambots

I have been hit 18 times in the last 4 days by a spambot from here.
It is annoying more than anything else.

Love, Love, Love

A few months ago I entered sixteen images for the Capture My Utah book project that featured photographs of Utah.
Of the sixteen entered, four were selected for publication in the book.
Today is the first of the four selected and over the next 3 days I will post the others.
You can see all of my entries here and if you like them you can buy them here.
